Reminiscent of Art Deco which was led by a need for novelty and progress, this original coffee table (‘The Waterfall’) made at our Design Studio is part of our ‘Post Deco’ range that envisions the future aesthetics of our interiors, elegantly bringing the grandeur of the roaring twenties into our hyperlinked home environs. The veneer inlayed two-part coffee table is built to be used together or separately to suit the needs of the user. The falling curve of the waterfall facing the straight geometry of the cliff form with the hanging void in-between questions the stand-off between dynamism and equipoise. Recontextualizing the Deco aesthetic in a hyperconnected post-pandemic society this piece seamlessly blends into our hyperconnected world even while making a strong design statement of its own.
