DESCRIPTION

This Italian console table is from the 18th or early 19th century. Expertly constructed from wood by traditional craftsmen and embellished with gold gilding, this console is a magnificent example of the extrvagance of the era. The finely carved surface is adorned with a symphony of acanthus leaves and shell designs, producing a stunning visual feast. The cabriole legs end in turning scrolls on both ends while the pierced apron front draws interest to the symmetry of the whole piece.
